Your first follow-up appointment after joint replacement surgery is a great time to ask your surgeon any non-urgent questions. (Always call with urgent questions.)

Write down any questions you may have and bring them to your appointment. All questions and concerns are important and sharing them helps your healthcare team to help you.

  2. Are there any activities that I should not engage in?
     
  3. When can I return to work?
     
  4. When can I drive?
     
  5. For how much longer will I have precautions (if any)?
     
  6. When can I resume sexual activity?
     
  7. What is your schedule for the next follow-up appointments?
     
  8. Do I call for those appointments?
