Don’t Skip Vaccinations
During the Coronavirus Pandemic

It’s understandable to worry about exposing yourself and your baby or young child to COVID-19 as the pandemic continues. But do not put off the vaccinations your child needs to fight diseases, including COVID-19.

COVID-19 vaccines are now available and recommended for everyone ages 6 months and up, and your baby or child can safely get the vaccine at the same time as other childhood immunizations.

Children need 10 major vaccines from birth to age 3—plus additional ones through age 18—to build immunity to life-threatening diseases:

  • Healthcare experts urge parents not to skip or delay these for their kids during the coronavirus. Doing so puts children at risk.

  • Dangerous diseases, such as measles and whooping cough, have made a comeback in the past 2 years as many parents opted to skip these vaccines for their children.

  • Healthcare providers are scheduling well-child visits (for vaccines and more) at specific times of the day and taking precautions to protect against COVID-19.
Keep Your Child on Track

Check the recommended schedule for childhood vaccines or call your child’s healthcare provider to ask about these immunizations.

If your child is due for a vaccine—including one for COVID-19—don’t wait. Schedule an appointment.
