To our families

Dear !!FIRST_NAME!!:

Congratulations to you and your family at this very special time. We consider it a privilege to be part of your care and help welcome your new baby.

As we are living through a very challenging time, with all of the steps we need to take in response to the COVID-19 outbreak, we are asking our families to work with us to take yet another step to help keep our environment as safe as possible for our patients, families, and staff.

Each postpartum patient is able to designate one support person to be with them during their stay. We are requiring the support person to remain in the room with the patient at all times. We also ask that you use your call light to request assistance from our staff as needed, and they will come to you. Each patient room has bathroom facilities available for your use, and we will make meals available to both our patients and support persons.

Once a support person has left the hospital building, they will not be permitted to re-enter. We very much recognize this may cause some inconvenience to you and your family and appreciate your cooperation. Please know we are taking this step out of an abundance of caution and prioritize the safety of all those under the umbrella of care.

We encourage you to bring your own face covering, as we need to conserve the hospital procedure masks for staff.

We thank you in advance for your understanding and for allowing us to care for you at this special time.
